Welcome to our traditional
Welsh stone built farmhouse at Frongoch, Nr Bala. Enjoy a warm Welsh hospitality
on our 100 acre mixed working farm, which parts of dates back over 400
years. You can be sure of a warm welcome at Rhydydefaid Farm, with refreshments
and a homemade cake on your arrival. Bed & Breakfast in the farmhouse
or self-catering in our static caravan (in it's own garden) are available.
Situated near the small village of Frongoch it's ideally located for exploring Snowdonia National Park and beyond. In every direction there
are scenic drives with outstanding mountain views, beautiful lakes and
rivers. Bala is best known for the National White Water centre only a mile away, which is recognised as one
of the World's leading kyaking and wild water courses, you too can
experience the thrill of white water rafting by 'riding the rapids' in
one of the centre's rafts. Walking holidays in the Arenig, Berwyn and
Aran mountain ranges where you will encounter breathtaking scenery.Nearby is the"The Mountain that had to be painted"by Augustus John and James Dickson Innes, who left London in 1911 for the Arenig Valley where they painted for 2 yrs to create a series of visionary landscapes.
We are three miles from Bala Lake, excellent fishing is available on the
lakes and rivers nearby as well as golf,sailing and 10- pin bowling. "Adventure Mountain" and Sheepdog Centre only 15mins away." "Coed y Brenin"mountain bike trail, something for everybody - 20mins away. Also 4x4 off road centre nearby. A special way of seeing the best scenery inWales-
